Visit Neshoba to Experience Traditional Choctaw Stickball
Come watch the incredible sport of traditional Choctaw Stickball at the 2026 State Games of Mississippi! This fast-paced, culturally rich event is a spectator favorite you won’t want to miss. Featuring tribal youth ages 9-12 across 7 teams, the single-elimination tournament will begin at Choctaw Central Warrior Stadium with three games on Thursday (6/11), two games on Friday (6/12), and conclude with the consolation and championship games on Saturday night (6/13).
Stickball is more than a game — it’s a powerful tradition with deep roots in Choctaw history. Bring the family and witness the energy, skill, and heritage in action as these tribal athletes compete for the gold!
